I have to confess that I am a year too late with reviewing this polish! A year! When the Spring 2019 collection was announced I immediately booked a trip to Germany by train (Essie collections are cheaper and are released earlier over there). Now that I am writing this, the Essie Spring 2020 got announced! I picked up 4 out of 6 polishes from the Spring 2019 collection over there. I had this great plan of reviewing these polishes super quick when I returned. However, my pictures got ruined and I gave up. I did show you Pinkies out and a touch of sugar before.
Today I have Tiers of Joy to show you, which is the most amazing colour from the Spring 2019 collection! I am a bit ashamed to admit that I haven’t even worn it properly until now. I regret that so much, because now I finally notice how amazing this polish would have been during summer. My pictures don’t do it justice, it is quite a hard polish to capture and since it is in the middle of February, the light also wasn’t very helpful.
Tiers of Joy is a lilac polish with amazing green iridescent shimmer. I have no polish that is like this in my collection. It just reminds me of unicorns and festivals, and is super on-trend right now. This polish just perfectly fits into the trend of holographic/iridescent things! Although released in 2019, I think it is pretty 2020 😉
The polish covered in two coats. It was a bit on the thick side, I am not sure whether it was because of the polish, or that it was because I tried the polish before and might have left it open for too long. Also, because of the shimmer the polish dries a bit streaky. I wasn’t bothered by this, but it is good to keep this in mind, becayse some other ladies get annoyed by this.
Long story short: I am in love. This polish is simply amazing. I know that I have been saying that about the other polishes of this collection too. I also know that not every one is going to like this polish. But wow! For me it is definitely a winner.
